1000MWp MOU Signing Ceremony
On August 14, 2025, in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic, the Minister of Water Resources and Energy Development and OBY Group International signed an MOU for the construction of a solar power plant with a total installed capacity of 1,000 MW.
The Central African Republic has requested Korea to build a high-quality solar power plant based on its excellent technology and capital, and has promised close cooperation.
Following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), a full feasibility study (FS) will be conducted to secure investors. During the FS period, we will execute the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Implementation Agreement (IA) as requested by the government. The first 100MW solar power plant will then be constructed near the capital city, Bangui.
The total investment budget for 1000MWp is estimated at approximately 1500 M USD, and BESS will be applied, which will be promoted along with the expansion of transmission lines.
